Adolescent Services in Louisville, KY

Compassionate, Evidence-Based Treatment for Adolescents (Ages 12–18) and Their Families

The Morton Center, we understand that when a teen ages 12 to 18 is struggling with substance use or mental health issues, the entire family feels the impact. That’s why our adolescent services are designed to support both the young person and their loved ones—restoring connection, building resilience, and guiding families toward healing.

Our licensed clinicians specialize in early intervention, addiction treatment, and co-occurring mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. We work with adolescents in a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment.

We welcome referrals from school counselors, pediatricians, therapists, courts, and community partners, and we’re here for parents and caregivers who are looking for answers and support.

Our Adolescent Services for Ages 12–18 Include:

Early Intervention Services
For teens experimenting with vaping, alcohol, THC, or other substances, we offer targeted support to address issues early and prevent escalation.

Comprehensive Assessments
A licensed clinician will meet with your teen to determine the most appropriate level of care and identify any co-occurring mental health needs.

Individual and Family Therapy
One-on-one sessions help teens explore the underlying causes of substance use, while family therapy strengthens communication, sets healthy boundaries, and promotes lasting recovery.

Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
For adolescents ages 12–18, our IOP is offered Tuesday and Wednesday from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. This structured, evidence-based program provides group therapy, psychoeducation, and peer support while allowing teens to remain at home and continue school.

We Accept Commercial Insurance, Medicaid, and Offer Scholarships

Our goal is simple: No teen is turned away because of finances. Thanks to generous donors and grants, scholarships are available for families who need assistance.

Our Comprehensive Approach

At The Morton Center, we know that adolescents living with a loved one’s addiction often carry invisible burdens. That’s why our services are designed not only for teens facing their own substance use or mental health struggles, but also for those impacted by a family member’s addiction.
The first step is a comprehensive clinical assessment—a vital conversation where our licensed professionals get to know your teen, understand their needs, and recommend the right level of support.
We work with adolescents ages 12 to 18, tailoring care to the unique emotional, psychological, and social challenges they face. Using evidence-based intervention strategies, we offer:
Individual therapy to help teens process their experiences, build coping skills, and grow in self-awareness.
Family sessions to strengthen communication, repair relationships, and build a stable foundation for recovery at home.
Our approach is grounded in compassion, professionalism, and the belief that no one heals in isolation. By involving the whole family and focusing on long-term recovery, we help adolescents reclaim their voice, their future, and their peace.
