Clinical Therapist
Alicia Hart is a Master’s-level Social Worker who earned her degree from the University of Louisville in 2021 and joined The Morton Center in 2026. She has experience providing individual therapy to adults navigating severe mental illness, trauma-related concerns, and substance use disorders. Her professional background includes a variety of clinical, advocacy, and support roles, giving her a broad understanding of client needs across multiple levels of care and systems of support.
Alicia takes a person-centered, trauma-informed approach to therapy and believes meaningful change occurs when individuals feel supported, understood, and empowered. She works collaboratively with clients to identify strengths, build effective coping strategies, and achieve their personal goals. Drawing from evidence-based practices including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Alicia tailors treatment to each individual’s unique experiences and needs.
She is passionate about helping clients build insight, strengthen resilience, and develop the skills necessary to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and self-efficacy. Alicia strives to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe exploring challenges, fostering growth, and pursuing lasting wellness.
