
Gerri Brown, LPCC, LCADC, APSS, TCM
Gerri is a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPCC) at The Morton Center. Born and raised in Louisville, Gerri is deeply committed to serving her community with compassion, clinical insight, and a trauma-informed approach to care.
She graduated from the University of Louisville in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and a minor in Psychology. Immediately following her undergraduate studies, she earned a Master of Education in Counseling Psychology with a focus in Community Counseling from UofL’s School of Education.
Gerri is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based therapy that supports clients in processing trauma and building resilience in recovery.
Known for her empathy, directness, and unwavering support, Gerri walks alongside individuals and families navigating substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges. Her work embodies The Morton Center’s mission to transform lives and preserve families through education, support, and treatment.
Outside of work, Gerri enjoys spending time with her four “kids” – two adult human sons and two Shih Tzu pups. She also finds joy in reading, bike riding, hiking, and listening to music across all genres.
